The Award Baikal
is established by Irkutsk Award Group.
The award is issued on the basis of QSL-cards confirming QSOs with
amateur stations from Irkutsk region (RA0S..), Ust-Orda aunomous buryat region
(RA8T..) and Buryat republic (RA0O..).
Any bands, any modes are valid.
To fullfill terms of the award one have to make the word "BAIKAL"
from letters, which are used in names of locations worked.
For example: BRATSK city gives letters "B", "A" and "K", ULAN-UDE city gives
letters "L" and "A". And so on.
Naturaly, as far as QSO was made with a station situated in BAIKALSK or in BAIKAL port
or in SEVEROBAIKALSK only one QSO is enough.
If one made a QSO with a station which worked /mm or from an ice of the lake,
the only one QSO is needed.
The cost of the award is 5 IRC.
The price is 2 IRCs. Contacts made after 1 October, 2005 year are valid.

An Application
The application form is a standard one.
In the column "Notes" show letters which were used to make a word "BAIKAL".
There are Callsign, date, band, mode, RS/RST and the name of the location worked and letters for the word BAIKAL.
A power must be shown in the title - Standard/QRP/QRPp.
QSL cards must be sent with the application. All QSLs will be returned with the award.
(This rule is applied for this award as there will be only 1 - 4 QSL cards.)

RK0SYY is a club station created by Irkutsk Award Group.
The station is on a coast of lake Baikal in Listvyanka village.
The team of the station carry out various expeditions over lake Baikal, visiting islands,
and working from other places around Baikal lake.
You can also take part in the work of the station and expeditions.
