GLORIA - Grid Locators Of Russia International Award

GLORIA Awards

The award - Grid Locators Of Russia International Award - GLORIA is established by "Irkutsk Award Group" and issued to all amateurs of all the world who provided contacts with radio stations located in different grid fields of Russia. Grid fields are areas determined by first two letters of the Grid locator system (the Maidenhead grid system). For example, KO, OO, MN etc.
The following awards are issued:
GLORIA-25 for contacts with 25 grid fields of Russia.
GLORIA-30 for contacts with 30 grid fields of Russia.
GLORIA-ALL for contacts with all 35 grid fields of Russia.
Those who fulfilled the GLORIA-ALL award can also apply for the plaquette.

Awards are issued in various categories taking into account:
    Bands:
  • For contacts made on any radioamateur bands (MIXED BANDS);
  • For contacts made on one of the following bands:

  • 1.8, 3.6, 7, 10, 14, 18, 21, 24, 28 and VHF bands
    Modes:
  • For contacts made by one of modes:
    CW, SSB, FM, SSTV, RTTY, PSK31 or MIXED MODES
    Power:
  • For contacts made with the standard power (OUTPUT) more than 5 Watt - the STANDARD;
  • For contacts made with the low power (OUTPUT) less than 5 Watt - QRP
  • For contacts made with the low power (OUTPUT) less than 0.5 Watt - QRPp
    Contacts via satellites:
  • For contacts made via satellites.
Contacts made , since January, 1, 2006 are valid.
Contacts made only with ground stations, including mobile and on rivers and lakes are valid.
All contacts should be made only by the same radio amateur from any place with any callsign issued to her/him. If several callsigns were used then all of them must be mentioned in the application.

Terms of the award's application.

The application for the award shoud contain QSOs' data in the alphabetic order of grid fields.
The application should contain callsign of a station worked, the date of the QSO, a band and a mode (CW, SSB etc.), a grid field name (two letters) and received RS/RST.
The power - Standard/QRP/QRPp - shoud be specified in a title of the application.
If contacts were made via satellites it also shoud be mentioned in the title of the application.
The application of the radio amateur should contain confirmation from national radioamateur league or two radio HAMs that QSL-cards are at the possesion of the applicant and the data in QSLs corresponds to the data in the application.
Or QSL-cards could be sent to the award manager for checking.
An award costs 18 IRC (or 12$US, or 10Euro). This includes S&H.
The cost of a plaquette is 35Euro.
If QSL-cards were sent to the award manager then the payment for return delivery of QSL-cards should be sent.

RK0SYY es una estación del club creada por el Irkutsk Award Group.
La estación está activada una costa de lago Baikal en la aldea de Listvyanka.
El equipo de la estación se lleva a cabo varias expediciones sobre lago Baikal, las islas visitantes, y trabajar de otros lugares alrededor de lago de Baikal.
